Best VPN for Beginners

Summary: Online apps and services have made our lives so convenient, many of us take for granted the security of our personal information.

On public networks especially, but even on private ones, our information is wide open and vulnerable – easily stolen by hackers, and spied on by government agencies.

VPNs take care of all of these problems, and even by design give you access to blocked content.

By encrypting your data and routing you through one of their remote servers, a VPN gives you unlimited access while keeping your data private and secure.

For a fast, reliable, secure VPN that’s easy to use, get Express VPN now.

Why Is My Information at Risk?

Most of us are aware of the security risks associated with using public networks, but with the convenience that mobile apps provide, it’s hard not to take advantage of an open network.

The problem is, hackers have taken note, and personal information is getting rapidly snatched up to steal bank account information and identities.

As if the threats to our online security weren’t bad enough, government agencies have become equally intrusive.

They’re gathering massive amounts of data on internet users in the name of national security. Many countries even block content, so users are left out of using several sites and services.

There’s a solution to it all though – a VPN.

A VPN easily protects your data from hackers, keeps it private from government surveillance, and gives you access to any blocked content you want.

What is a VPN?

VPNs are services you pay for to give your privacy for any online activities. Once you sign up for a service plan, you’re connected to the virtual private network through their software.

Your traffic is completely encrypted, and your data is routed through a remote server.

Your real IP address is blocked, and you’re given the one associated with the server you’ve chosen.

In addition to your content being completely private and untraceable, you also have access to any content available in the server’s country, breaking down the borders of content restrictions.

Top 3 VPNs for Beginners

There are a lot of VPN services to choose from, but not all of them are very user-friendly. Here are a few of the top VPNs on the market, and how easy they are for beginners to figure out and use.

#1 Choice:  Express VPN – 9/10 – No manual configurations, the total package

Express VPN is always my go-to choice when it comes to internet security. Their software is completely self-explanatory, and it’s so easy to use.

Set up is a breeze too. Some VPNs make you manually configure your connections – it’s an unbelievable pain. With Express VPN, just download, install, and connect.

If you have some trouble though, their customer support alone is reason enough to sign up. They don’t leave you high and dry like a lot of other companies do. They’re:

  • 24/7 – always there to help
  • available by e-mail, or live chat for instant support
  • fast – their average e-mail response time is less than 20 minutes

Express VPN is also one of the fastest VPNs I’ve ever used. Not only does their software work on every device, but with unlimited bandwidth you can stream and download totally uninhibited.

Even with their military grade encryption, Express VPN gives you a connection is built to keep up.

There’s no question – at just $15 a month, Express VPN is the easiest VPN to use, with the most features, at the best price.

They even back their service with a 30-day money back guarantee and a nearly unheard of referral program. If you refer someone and they sign up, you’ll BOTH get a month of free service!

For the best connection and service from the easiest to use VPN, get Express VPN today.

#2:  IPVanish – 8/10 – Easy to use, but not compatible with iOS

IPVanish is another good option for beginners. Their software is like Express VPN’s in that it’s a one and done, download and install setup process.

The simple layout and easily accessible features make it a no-brainer to figure out, and you can usually get it up and running with no assistance.

If you do wind up needing help though, keep in mind that IPVanish’s support isn’t quite as responsive as Express VPN’s.

Though they are 24/7, the only way you can get in touch with them is via e-mail – there is not live option.

In addition, though IPVanish is compatible with Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux devices, they don’t yet have a version that will work on mobile Apple devices that run iOS.

Your best bet if you need a VPN for one of those devices is going to be to stick with Express VPN.

IPVanish can be found at this website.

#3: HideMyAss– 6/10 – Software is a bit cluttered, crummy support

I’m not wild about HideMyAss. Their software is easy to setup, but for beginners, this one might be a bit overwhelming.

This is a classic example of taking a simple process and just over-complicating it to the max. HideMyAss is full of tabs and settings and options, which is great, but the entire layout is confusing.

What really sucks though is that on top of having software that isn’t very user-friendly, HideMyAss’s support isn’t either.

Like Express VPN, they’re 24/7, and even have phone support in addition to live chat and e-mail.

The problem is, literally every time I’ve had to contact these guys, support has either been slow or nonexistent – we’re talking at least a ten minute wait for live chat. It’s unreal.

HideMyAss is compatible with all major operating systems like Express VPN, and their 256 bit encryption and large network of servers will definitely keep you secure.

However, their connection is always slow and unreliable, even if you choose a location from one off their suggestions list.

Bottom line, they’re just not worth the trouble. Their program isn’t the easiest to use, their connection is slow, and their customer service is terrible.

Save yourself some time and just go with Express VPN.

HideMyAss is here.

Conclusion: Use Express VPN for Fast, Unlimited Access

If you’re reading this article, then good job – you’re already aware of the problems with surfing unprotected.

It’s incredibly easy for hackers to get your personal information, so let’s make their jobs a little harder, shall we?

Express VPN gives you an encrypted tunnel to access the internet through.

Your IP address is blocked, so you’re untraceable, and with access to a worldwide network of servers, you can get to any content you want, no matter where you are.

Express VPN is a great user-friendly option that keeps your data secure, and blows your access wide open with their large network of servers.

You’ll get great customer support, so you’ll never be left hanging. There’s no risk to you with their 30 day money back guarantee, and you’ll be super-secure with their 256 bit encryption.
