3 Best VPN’s for Europe in 2017

Europe has one of the highest percentages of fraud in the world.  But, much of this can be prevented by using a VPN, or Virtual Private Network.  A VPN encrypts the data you send and receive online, which is particularly invaluable if you access the internet regularly on public Wi-Fi. A VPN also allows you to access content that is normally restricted so you can watch content on websites as well as video and movies.

Best VPN for Europe

If you are living in Europe then you know we have a big problem with data theft and identity fraud.  I have experienced this first hand myself and it happened because I used a Wi-Fi service at a hotel.  I never thought this would make a difference to how secure I was online.  Afterwards though, I learned a tough lesson when it caused me months of problems.

These Wi-Fi hotspots leave your details very exposed and you can find yourself hacked very easily.  Luckily for you guys I have a solution to this problem and it is called a VPN.

A VPN will encrypt your data and protect you when you are accessing internet through a Wi-Fi service.  This ensures no-one can see what you are accessing or steal your personal information.

A VPN also gets you around those pesky location restrictions.  If you’re used to watching Netflix or listening to Pandora, you won’t want to miss out on your favorite content just because you are in Europe.  With a VPN like ExpressVPN, these location restrictions are no longer an issue!

How to Choose a VPN for Europe – The VPN Market Can Be Confusing

A lot of people can find the amount of VPN’s out there overwhelming.  I was like this as well when I first started looking for one.  There is just so much choice out there for you to pick from.

Although VPN reviews is a good place to start comapring, we decided to test and show you the 3 best VPN’s that you can use in Europe to help protect yourself against fraud and encrypt your presence online.  Basically I have done the work so you don’t have to.

My 3 Best VPN’s For Europe

You will find my top 3 VPN’s below that I have all used personally.  Although each has its merits, I highly recommend my #1 choice, Express VPN.

#1 ExpressVPN – Best VPN for Europe

In my opinion ExpressVPN provides the best service to avoid any security issues online.  They offer a really complete experience not only in their level of encryption (256-bit) but also with the customer service and how easy the software is to use.

I was a bit skeptical about using a VPN at first.  I had never even heard of one before everything happened with my credit card, so I emailed their support staff a few questions.  They responded back with some fantastically detailed answers in just under an hour and put my mind at ease.

In addition to this I found the software really simple to use.  At first I thought that using a VPN would be too complicated for me.  But, when I began to use the software I saw just how simple it was.  I just choose another IP address and within seconds my identity was protected online and all my data that I sent and received was encrypted.

Last but not least my internet speed never dropped at all.  We all know that public Wi-Fi can be slow at times.  However, I use Express VPN even when I connect to the internet at home.  My internet connection speed doesn’t drop at all and I keep my blazing fast download speeds when using Express VPN.

For protecting your data and information and for bypassing location restrictions, Express VPN really is the best on the market.

If you want to encrypt your internet usage in Europe then IPVanish is another VPN that provides a secure connection. However, they don’t offer the same service as Express VPN.

IPVanish can’t handle the same bandwidth as Express VPN. What does this mean for you? Well, your internet speed will be limited, so that you use less data on their servers and downloading files or streaming content is difficult.

On top of this, the connection with IPVanish can be unreliable at times. If you need to contact their customer support team, then you won’t get a response in minutes like Express VPN. Rather you will have to wait hours or even more to not only get a response but also for them to fix the problem for you or give advice.

#3 Hide My Ass

HideMyAss is a VPN that offers an encrypted connection that masks your IP address, but if you want a better all-round VPN, then choose Express VPN.

The problem with HideMyAss is that, while it does secure your internet connection in Europe, meaning that you can protect your identity and personal details, it is not as good in other areas.

For instance, their servers aren’t sufficiently equipped to handle a lot of traffic. So if you are downloading files or trying to stream content in high quality this can take a long time. Express VPN provides better and faster speeds.

Similarly their customer support team is not responsive.

It can often be days before an issue is resolved. This means that your connection will be unsecured and your activity and details vulnerable. Finally, their software is harder to learn how to use than the program that is provided with Express VPN, so if you are a first time VPN user this is something to be wary of.

Best VPN Choice for Europe

It can be easy for someone to steal your data in Europe if you use public Wi-Fi.  I never use the internet now without first connecting to a trusted and reliable VPN service, and Express VPN really is the best out there.

You’ll also be able to watch all the content you’re used to accessing.  By using Express VPN, you won’t get any annoying messages telling you the content you want isn’t available in your area.

Benefits of using ExpressVPN:

  • Reliable customer support, faster than the rest
  • Optimal streaming speeds
  • Hundreds of servers to choose from
  • Best to use when traveling and vacationing in Europe
  • High level of encryption and protection
