I´m going with HMA for 1,5 year with no problem so far. Needed service once and they were really good.

The HMA-score is not representative of the actual service they offer.

Losing 4.4 points out of 10 simply on installation instructions and subjective connectivity tests is beyond my comprehension and shows a lack of objective journalism.

I have been using HMA for over 2years now with no issues whatsoever. The connectivity is great and the configuration is very smooth and easy.

If you’re not able to use HMA you probably are not tech-savvy enough to really understand how to properly set up a VPN at all. Which implies you would need someone else to do it for you in the first place.

Very bad article as nothing was explained about configuring a correct DNS server etc etc

I wanted to comment, because I’m currently living in a country where everyone needs a vpn in order to access any decent content. From the experiences of about 20 users, over the past 3 years, I would rank HMA as #1 PureVPN as #2 and ExpressVPN as #3

No one here has any experience with IPvanish.

Lastly, I agree that HMA is more difficult to use, but if you absolutely require a connection, it has proven to be the most reliable.

I’ve just purchased a monthly subscription of ExpressVPN and Hide My Ass after I could not access Netflix with my PIA subscription which I have now cancelled.

ExpressVPN had major connection issues and I could not even browse. Tried it on a Mac, Android, iOS and Windows devices.

Logged onto HMA next, connected seamlessly but unfortunately both VPN services I tried were unable to access Netflix. Guess the article needs a second edit.

I tried many VPNs but Netflix has gone smarter… I receive an error message telling me to turn off any unblocker or VPN software before proceeding.

I need access to the 7000 library – but how?

I have been using Astrill VPN, for more than a year, and couple of days ago, Netflix blocked me the connection through the vpn. It seems that rhymed are strengthening their limitations due to this going global presence yet not all content per country…

    Hello,

Belgium. I have used expressvpn succesfully, connecting to US server, until a few days ago.

Is Buffered vpn still working? Currently using IPVanish and Netflix now gives a proxy server error.

I tried Buffered VPN for a few days while in the Philippines and connecting to several of their West Coast choices. All of them dropped my download speed from 20 to 25 Mbps to 2 to 5 Mbps. Totally unusable for Netflix.

Just want to check if Buffered vpn is working if my location is in Indonesia. For the past month I’ve been using IP vanish and it worked just fine until 2 days ago I got the message from netflix saying that they detected me using unblocker/proxy. Then I tried to use private internet access(PIA), but still can not connect to US netflix. FYI, my local isp has blocked netflix when it was launched in indonesia a month ago. Now I can’t even watch local netflix content.

Tried Buffered and ip vanish today, both are blocked by Netflix from the UK. HMA requires upfront payment, can anyone confirm if it’s being blocked by Netflix before I sign up?

So, you obviously work for Buffered VPN, which is fine but I feel like you should be more upfront about it since you’re pushing the product so hard in what appears to have been an attempt at an unbiased review of all the VPNs out there. Regardless, since you do, I’ll just tell you that I’ve been blocked, blocked, blocked on Netflix by every location I try to use from the American branch. Tell the BufferedVPN people they need new servers. And, yes, I’ve already sent them a message to ask, but since it was from the mobile app and with no question beyond whether or not they’re upgrading their service at some point, I’m not holding my breath.

Netflix is detecting Geological location and allow users to access limited content. Earlier it was possible to access through VPN and browse all libraries. But now Netflix start blocking VPNs and it becomes it difficult to access all contents. I have tried different VPNs and most of them work for 2-3 days. Currently, I am using “HIDE-MY-IP” VPN and . Its unique “DNS Protection” makes it possible to masks users’ real IP that cannot be detected by Netflix bots. It has been working perfectly for more than 20 days.
