How It Works
BeenVerified uses a multi-faceted search process with both online and offline capabilities in order to ensure as many results are returned as possible, and that they are continuously updated to reflect the most accurate information available.
Online, the interface provides you with fields to enter the first name, last name, city, and state of the person you are looking for. You can toggle the search fields to return results for people, phone numbers, email addresses, or even property. There is also an entire module dedicated to searching criminal records in any state, and many different major cities.
BeenVerified also offers an offline “Court Runner” service as well. This search capability sends actual humans into courthouses to find and verify public records when necessary.
BeenVerified’s search capabilities provide many different types of information on the people you search for, including:
- Phone Numbers
- Arrest Records
- Current Address
- Email Addresses
- Social Media
- Court Records
- Distant Relatives
BeenVerified pulls information from dozens of different public record sources, as well as from all over the internet, including:
- Criminal records
- Property records
- Cell phone rebates
- Magazine subscriptions
- Speeding tickets
- Mortgage deeds
- Social network profiles
- Blog postings
“KnowThyCustomer” is an innovative feature for businesses either interested in improving their customer relations, or concerned about purchasing fraud. It provides a number of additional functionalities and sorting capabilities in addition to the regular search options. Fort those interested in improving their customer relations, the information found via KnowThyCustomer is specifically packaged and designed to work with lead-nurturing activities or a CRM.
When it comes to preventing potential fraud, KnowThyCustomer provides a criminal record history in order to alert a business of the potential dangers of shipping merchandise in advance.
Every individual or business uses a background check service for their own purposes. That’s why many background check services will offer a diverse range of subscription offers that can be expected to meet several different needs.
BeenVerified’s two-tier membership pricing options fall a little short here. What’s available is enough if you’re looking for a single month or medium-term commitment, but for those looking for a long-term solution, a six month or year plan would have been preferable.
Customer support is available via BeenVerified’s website. You can leave a message with your email address and expect a response within a day. If you would like to send an email directly from your own account, you can do so at email@example.com
There is also phone support available from 8:00am – 10:00pm Eastern on weekdays, and 10:00am – 8:00pm Eastern on weekends.
BeenVerified excels against the competition in a number of different key areas. Its search functionality is robust but its design is simple, so you can always find the information you are looking for without any difficulties. It accesses billions of digital records, and offers an unusual in-person court records option. Additional enterprise capabilities also show a commitment to not just gathering data for customers, but also packaging it in a way that adds additional value.
On the downside, it would be nice if this flexibility was extended to the pricing model. Although BeenVerified has a competitive price, the lack of a long-term subscription option (and the discount that should go with it) is unfortunate. But it’s a good service if you can work within its subscription models.
