Best VPN for Facebook in 2017

Summary:  When Facebook is blocked it can be super annoying. It’s going to be blocked for either two reasons. The location you are in (e.g. china, dubai etc. as some examples) the government has restricted access to Facebook and you can’t access it. Or your school or college has blocked it on their internal network.

A VPN provider can help you either unblock Facebook what it does is makes your computer think that it’s not in the location that you currently are in and therefore unblocks Facebook for you.

To Access Facebook with a VPN we recommend with Express VPN.

—————————–

Why Is Facebook Blocked?

Government Restrictions

Governments restrict Facebook because they think that spreading information and Propoganda easily will cause a disruption to the government in power. China and Iran seems to be the main culprits however the following countries also restrict Facebook (Bangladesh, Egypt, North Korea, Syria and Vietnam)

College or school restrictions

Education providers seem to block Facebook internally for their students because they don’t want them browsing Facebook all day in the classroom.

Top 3 VPNs for Facebook

For the most secure connection, select a VPN provider with a few different protocol options, and of course, an affordable monthly rate. Below are our top 3 choices.

#1 Choice:  Express VPN – 9/10  Affordable plans, most security options

Express VPN is definitely the best in the industry across the board. If this is the first you’ve ever heard of VPNs and you’re worried the software will be a little over your head – don’t.

Not only is their software very user-friendly, but the setup is simple enough for any beginner.

If you do get stuck and need some help, Express VPN has the best customer service around, with features like:

  • 24/7 support
  • chat and e-mail availability
  • an average e-mail response time of less than 30 minutes

Plus, they even stand behind their product with a 30-day money back guarantee, so if you’re not sure, you’ve got nothing to lose by trying it.

If you run through your 30-days and love it, be sure to tell all of your friends (Facebook included), because you can both get a month of free service through Express VPN’s referral program.

The best thing about Express VPN though is that their software is compatible with every operating system out there.

What this means for you is that you can use it on everything from an Android smartphone to an iPad, or even a Windows laptop.

With multiple VPN protocols and 256-bit encryption, if you’re worried about security when using Facebook, Express VPN is the best way to safeguard your information.

For the most secure, reliable, easy, and affordable VPN to protect you while using Facebook, get Express VPN

#2:  IPVanish – 8/10  Fast connection, slower customer service

If you can’t get to an Express VPN server where you’re located, then give IPVanish a try. With server locations around the globe, it’s possible there’s one in your area.

Like Express VPN, their software can be used on multiple devices simultaneously, so it’s great for people with social families.

However, one major downside is that IPVanish is not compatible with iOS, so be cautious you Apple users.

They have customer service with 24/7 staff that you can reach by e-mail or live chat, the only difference being that they do not respond as fast as Express VPN for e-mail inquiries.

They do offer a money back guarantee, which is reassuring, but no referral program.

Though they don’t have quite as many security protocols as Express VPN, they still have 256-bit encryption and the L2TP programming.

This gives you “still pretty great security” for all you non-tech savvy peeps.

That plus their unlimited bandwidth means you can stream videos and download to your heart’s content, with the confidence that your personal information is safe and secure.

IPVanish can be found here.

#3: HideMyAss– 6/10  Slow connection, unhelpful customer service

HideMyAss has a few of the perks you get with Express VPN, like unlimited bandwidth and a large network of servers.

However, their connection has a reputation for being pretty sluggish, and cutting in and out unexpectedly. All the bandwidth in the world won’t do you any good if you can’t stay online.

Plus, their software can be a little confusing for even the seasoned VPN user to navigate, so newbies beware.

If you run into trouble, you should be able to reach their customer service team any time, day or night, through live chat, e-mail, or by phone.

However, many customers have reported that support is not only slow, but frustrating and unhelpful at times. Like Express VPN, HideMyAss is compatible with all operating systems.

But with a notoriously bad connection and customer service that leaves something to be desired, you’re better off sticking with Express VPN.

HideMyAss is here.

Conclusion: Use Express VPN for Fast, Unlimited Access

Let’s be honest, almost everyone we know is on Facebook these days.

Young or old, from every corner of the world, and from all walks of life, people have found a way to connect and come together.

However, those connections have created a massive pool of cyber-crime victims. Every day, people get their Facebook accounts hacked and private information stolen.

Plus, many countries around the world block the social networking website as part of government censorship programs.

The solution is to get the best VPN for your online activity. One that protects your information, blocks your IP address, has a reliable connection, is easy to use, and has great customer service.

You can get all of this with Express VPN, and they’re affordable too.

You can’t absolutely access Facebook with ExpressVPN !
I tried selecting several countries. Facebook block every IP from ExpressVPN.
Facebook even permanently disable every account trying connect with ExpressVPN!
Sorry, but you can’use ExpressVPN to use Facebook. If you try, Facebook disable your account and there’s nothing you can do to recover it. You can’t even register new account. I tried a lot of times. Nothing.
Every country or IP of ExpressVPN you get disabled your account.

Just a small correction, I am from Egypt and Facebook is not restricted whatsoever. It was only banned during the 2011 revolution for only a day, but then again the whole internet was down that day in Egypt. Now there are hardly any internet restrictions in Egypt. This does not mean that there isn’t extreme online surveillance, especially after the recent terrorist attacks.
